Dr. David A. Evanko, M.D., – Serving Chicora and surrounding area.
THE FAMILY DOCTORGood family practice physicians bring much more to the patient than medical knowledge. They bring understanding based on things like family history. They can often recognize possible health problems because they know the family background, and have often treated other family members. Like the family doctor of yesterday, they have a relationship with patients based on trust and shared experiences.
If you want a primary care physician like that, David A. Evanko, M.D., is a great choice.
Dr. Evanko, who has lived in western Pennsylvania most of his life, began serving this region in 1984 and has treated up to four generations of some families. That gives him special knowledge of the variety of problems which can affect families, from medical issues to mental health issues to the routine problems of everyday life.
He has broad experience with patients of all ages, with a special concentration on young people through their teen years, and has been actively involved beyond his medical practice in projects designed to promote and protect the welfare of teens.
He also has special training in geriatric medicine, an important skill in a region with one of the nation’s oldest populations. And, he has been recognized for his skills in family practice by a number of professional organizations.

Don Halpin
Physician's Assistant
Don Halpin developed his interest in helping people the hard way - as a medical evac helicopter pilot in Vietnam. Yet he still finds the opportunity to impact someone's health positively as exciting as it was nearly 30 years ago.
As a physician's assistant in family practice, he deals with a diversity of patients and problems, from infants and children to adults and the elderly. And, while the volume of information, medication and technology have changed dramatically, the chance to improve the quality of people's lives remains the same.
Don became a physician's assistant with Butler Medical Associates in 1994, after three years at Allegheny General and several similar positions in Michigan.
He finds life in the Butler area "easy going" and "laidback" as are the "friendly, generous people" who live here. In keeping with the local tradition, he is an avid car buff who enjoys upgrading and showing his 2004 40th anniversary edition Mustang convertible as often as possible.
